By dropping off unused and/or obsolete electronics at the free events, Bay Area businesses and residents will be helping to keep unwanted electronic waste out of landfills while raising money for the many service programs and community outreach activities conducted by Glide Memorial Church.
"Electronic waste is a growing environmental and public health concern in our world. Glide volunteers are happy to help with the E-waste recycling efforts in San Francisco," said Glide's Founder, Reverend Cecil Williams. "With a portion of the proceeds of the E-waste recycling efforts going to Glide's numerous programs, the money will be used to help real people in need."
"Com-Cycle is proud to partner with the Glide Foundation to raise funds that will be used to help the neediest people in our San Francisco and Bay Area communities," stated Frank Alioto, President of Com-Cycle. "Com-Cycle prides itself on being a conscientious environmental steward. You can be certain that your electronics will be responsibly recycled. Our Company Policy is that nothing goes to landfill."
