Coca-Cola and BET Give Amateur Talent a Chance to Get Their Shine on This Summer Coca-Cola Gets in Perfect Harmony with Rapper B.o.B. for BET’s “106 & Park” (PressMethod) - Wednesdays will be a little wilder and summer a little hotter when Coca-Cola teams up with Black Entertainment Television (BET) and rapper B.o.B this month to offer amateur talent rare and exclusive opportunities to shine in the spotlight.
As part of its "Perfect Harmony" music platform, Coca-Cola has signed on, for the fourth consecutive year, as the exclusive sponsor of BET's "Wild Out Wednesday", during the summer, on the network's most popular program, "106 & Park." Today through August 29, America's favorite beverage will set the stage as amateur artists from across the country battle their way to music stardom. Coca-Cola will also up the ante this year and reward the All-Star Series MVP with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform with Rebel Rock/Atlantic recording artist and producer, B.o.B, live on "106 & Park" in the fall. It marks the first time that a "Wild Out Wednesday" winner will have received such an honor.
"Performing on ‘106 & Park' – one of the hottest shows on television – is an experience of a lifetime for any artist. Today, it could be ‘Wild Out Wednesday,' tomorrow it could be No. 1 on the countdown. I'm so excited Coca-Cola asked me to be a part of this process and the Perfect Harmony program," said B.o.B as he appeared live from the "106 & Park" studios today to announce his partnership with the world's most recognized brand.
"Music has always been a part of the Coca-Cola brand heritage," said Kimberly Paige, assistant vice president, African American marketing, The Coca-Cola Company. "Our partnership with BET builds on a long tradition of bringing music and music experiences to our consumers in new and innovative ways. We are proud that this execution of the Perfect Harmony program aligns our brand and teens with today's hottest artists and gives a special few an opportunity in the spotlight that may inspire the next generation of stars to come."
