Waterfront Key Largo hotel has a new lease on life.
Hotels don’t become available in the Keys very often, particularly on the water.

(PressMethod) - A Key Largo hotel once part of Cay Clubs' plan for condo conversions throughout the Keys has a new lease on life.

Robert and Laura Welliver head the company that purchased the 56-unit hotel at 99490 Overseas Highway in August and renamed it Bayside Inn Key Largo.

The hotel will get impact-resistant windows, new furniture, a gym and possibly a new pool. A new paint job is on the schedule as well; the three-story hotel's multiple coats of pink will be replaced with yellow.
We're going to fix it back up the way it was supposed to be, he said. "We hope to become an asset to the community.
